The Kogi State Government and key political stakeholders have pledged overwhelming support for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying the President deserves a second term to consolidate his administration’s economic reforms.
The pledge was made during the third day of a statewide project inspection tour by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Media Team.
Speaking in Gbede, Yagba West Local Government Area, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, said communities across the state appreciated the Federal Government’s ongoing infrastructure projects.

He noted that Tinubu’s economic reforms had increased resources available to states, enabling them to undertake critical development projects.
Fanwo assured the visiting delegation that Kogi residents would reciprocate the Federal Government’s interventions by voting for Tinubu and APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

Leading the delegation, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, said the infrastructure projects reflected the impact of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.
The team inspected a 15-kilometre asphalt road with drainage facilities in Gbede, a newly completed Primary Health Centre and the ongoing reconstruction of the Kabba–Egbe–Omu Aran–Ilorin highway.
Dare said the Federal Executive Council approved the rehabilitation of the Kabba–Ilorin road after more than three decades of neglect to improve connectivity and ease the movement of goods, particularly for major industries, including the BUA and Mangal cement plants.
The delegation also visited rural road projects in Okene, inspected the 16-hectare International Market under construction in Lokoja, which is about 50 per cent completed and expected to be delivered within 18 months, and assessed ongoing health infrastructure upgrades at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lokoja.
Dare commended Governor Usman Ododo for aligning the state’s investments in education, security, healthcare, road infrastructure and human capital development with Tinubu’s Eight-Point Agenda.

He added that the Federal Government had revitalised more than 1,000 primary healthcare centres nationwide while sustaining investments in agriculture, manufacturing, energy and transportation to drive economic growth and improve public services.
