Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has given his immediate approval for the 2024 cash backing of promotions for 3,594 teaching and non-teaching staff under the state’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
The approval, which was announced by TESCOM’s Executive Chairman, Bello Abubakar, is seen as a further demonstration of the governor’s dedication to improving the welfare of educators in the state.
Abubakar made the disclosure during a meeting with the commission’s management staff.According to the chairman, AbdulRazaq has consistently ensured that promotions for TESCOM staff are backed financially.

He highlighted that since taking office in 2019, the governor has provided cash backing for all promotions from 2015 up to 2023.
Abubakar gave his assurance that the current administration will continue this practice, ensuring timely cash backing for all future promotions.
He thanked the governor for his significant investment in the welfare of teachers and pledged the commission’s commitment to hard work and dedication in return for the improved conditions.
