The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained hundred percent record in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2022) in Cameroon.
Nigeria made it three from three games with a 2-0 win over Equatorial-Guinea.
The three-time African champions scored the first goal of the encounter through Sadiq Umar. The Almeria striker converted from the flick of Kelechi Iheanacho.
William Troost-Ekong benefitted from Simon Moses’ shot that hit the bar to his direction to make it two. The Watford defender was eventually handed the man of the match award.

In the group’s other game, seven times champions, Egypt recorded a single goal victory over Sudan to finish second behind Nigeria.

Nigeria also became the first country in the tournament to win all their first three games.
