Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, has failed to secure a win in any of his four nominated categories at the 66th Grammys.
In the Global Music Performance section, his track ‘Alone’ was surpassed by Zakir Hussain, Bela Fleck, and Edgar Myer’s ‘Pashto.’

Meanwhile, South Africa’s Tyla won in the Best African Music Performance, defeating Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys’ with her song ‘Water.’
The Best Melodic Rap Performance honor went to Lil Durk and J Cole for ‘All My Life,’ leaving Burna Boy and 21 Savage’s ‘Sittin’ On Top of the World’ behind.
Burna Boy’s fourth and final nomination in the Best Global Music Album was not successful, as Shakti’s ‘This Moment’ took the prize over his album ‘I Told Them’ and Davido’s ‘Timeless.’
