CAF nominates Gift Orban for Young Player of the Year

Super Eagles and Gent forward Gift Orban has been nominated in the Young Player of the Year category ahead of the CAF awards ceremony.

Orban joined Gent from Norwegian outfit Stabaek in January and has been an instant hit.

The 21-year-old has scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Belgian club since arriving in Belgium.

Napoli and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has previously won this award.

Other nominees for this year’s award are Senegalese quartet Lamine Camara, Papa Amadou Diallo, Amara Diouf and Pape Diop.
