In a captivating CAF Super Cup final, Zamalek triumphed over their Egyptian arch-rivals, Al Ahly, after a dramatic penalty shootout at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday. The tension-filled encounter saw Zamalek emerge victorious 4-3 on penalties.

Al Ahly had seized an early lead just before the halftime whistle. A 44th-minute penalty, calmly converted by Danish-born Palestinian striker Abou Alli, seemed to put them on course for the title.
