Swedish club IFK Kalmar has completed the signing of Esther Ogbonna from Nigeria Women Football League side, Remo Stars Ladies.
The former Nigeria junior international has penned a one-year contract with the Elitettan team. Ogbonna was warmly welcomed by head coach Zacharias Svensson upon her arrival from Nigeria on Thursday.
The Super Falcons player played a key role in helping Remo Stars Ladies reach the semi-finals of the 2024 President Federation Cup.

This move marks Ogbonna’s first venture into European football, where she is set to don the number 18 jersey for her new club.
Ogbonna will be officially introduced to her new teammates on Friday, starting her journey with IFK Kalmar.
