Norwich City has appointed Jack Wilshere as their new first-team coach. He joins from Arsenal, where he led the Under-18s.
As a former Arsenal prodigy, Wilshere made his Premier League debut at 16, the youngest in the club’s history. He went on to make 197 appearances, winning two FA Cups, before retiring in 2022.
His playing days included loan spells at Bolton and Bournemouth. Additionally, he earned 34 caps for England, contributing two international goals.
After hanging up his boots, Wilshere swiftly transitioned into coaching, leading Arsenal’s youth side to the FA Youth Cup final in the 2022/23 season. Now, his focus shifts to Norwich, where he hopes to further develop as a coach.

Knapper also emphasised that Wilshere is one of the country’s most promising young coaches. With both parties eager to start, Norwich sees his arrival as a step toward a bright future.
Norwich are currently seventh in the English Championship table and welcome Middlesbrough to Carrow Road in their next league fixture on Sunday (16:00 BST/WAT).
