President Bola Tinubu on Monday extended warm felicitations to Senator Adetokunbo Abiru on his 60th birthday. 

Senator Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, previously served as the Managing Director/CEO of Skye Bank, which later became Polaris Bank. 

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Nnagale, stated in a release that the President praised the Senator’s fine leadership qualities. 

President Tinubu highlighted Abiru’s tenure as Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, during which he facilitated the floating of an N80 billion bond, earning the State the EMEA Finance’s Best Local Currency Bond Award for 2012.

President Tinubu commended Senator Abiru for his high sense of responsibility, character, and dedication to service, which led to his appointment as the Chairman of the Southern Senators’ Forum.

On the occasion of the Senator’s 60th birthday, the President wished him many more years of good health and strength in his service to Lagos State and the nation.
