Yoruba is one of the three major tribes in Nigeria alongside Igbo and Hausa. In recent times, there have been differences amongst the trio due to politics and other underlying issues.

Due to the ongoing conundrum in Nigeria, singer-songwriter, Idowest whose real name is Adekunle Idowu has come out to state that he now identifies as Igbo though he was born Yoruba.

The Yoruba language rapper stated this while lamenting about the hardship in the country and the stance of some fellow Yorubas against the planned #EndBadGovernance’ protest.

He also claimed those opposing the planned nationwide protests were sentimental.
