Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has paid tribute to late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua on the 15th anniversary of his passing, describing him as one of Nigeria’s finest leaders.

In a statement shared on Monday, Saraki remembered Yar’Adua as a calm and purposeful leader whose quiet strength and sense of duty left a lasting impression.

“Fifteen years on, Nigeria still mourns one of its finest — and I still remember a friend whose quiet wisdom helped shape my understanding of service,” Saraki said.

He praised Yar’Adua’s unique approach to leadership, emphasizing his deep sense of responsibility and humility.

“President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua led with conviction, not commotion. He listened more than he spoke — and when he did speak, it was with purpose, not politics.
