Visitation panels submit reports to Kwara Govt

The Committees of visitation panels submitted their reports to the Kwara State Government after visiting the three Colleges of Education in Ilorin, Oro, and Lafiagi.

In a statement received on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, acknowledged and applauded the high level of commitment and professionalism displayed by the committee members.

Ms. Arinde thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for timely establishment of the visitation panels, asserting that it would enhance academic progression in the institutions.

Maintaining that the AbdulRazaq-led administration prioritized tertiary education, the Commissioner expressed confidence that the report would serve as a guiding manual for the state government in transforming the Colleges.

After working tirelessly on the assignment, Ms. Arinde deemed it priceless and prayed for enriched wisdom, increased knowledge, and divine strength for the committee members.

Chairing the visitation panel for the College of Education, Oro, Professor Jawondo Ibrahim thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for finding them worthy to assist in the educational reformation of the state’s tertiary education system.

Prof. Jawondo applauded the management of the three Colleges of Education, highlighting the outstanding competence of personnel in driving the objectives, goals, and policy thrust of the institutions.

While presenting a letter of commendation to the Commissioner, the visitation panel members praised her exceptional roles in the execution of the assignment aimed at elevating the tertiary education system in the state.

Chairman of the visitation panel to College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi, Professor Otunola Tejumola, appreciated the Governor for the initiative of the visitation panels aimed at reforming the Colleges of Education.

Prof. Tejumola commended the Commissioner for Tertiary Education for her professionalism, right attitude, maturity, high sense of responsibility, and encouragement in executing the assignment.

He called on the state government to pay unique attention to the College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi, especially in reviving the Tetfund Project in the College to enhance its development and self-sustainability.
