Charly Boy ridicules Ooni of Ife over marriage crash

Controversial Nigerian entertainment impresario, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has ridiculed the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwunsi II, over his recent crashed marriage.

Charly Boy, a former President of the Performing Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN), on Thursday, mocked the Ooni of Ife following the breakup of his marriage to Prophetess Naomi on December 24, years after his marriage to Queen Zaynab Wuraola Otiti Obanor from the ancient city of Benin collapsed in 2016.

Charley Boy who took to his verified Instagram page to react to the marriage crash involving the Ooni of Ife and his now estranged wife Queen Naomi, had some questions about the monarch’s marital crisis.

In a photo shared he shared on the platform which he took with the Ooni of Ife, Charly Boy asked how a man of his status can be dumped by his wives on social media.

“See dis my fine bobo. How e come be say in less dan 2months, two of ur wives just divorce u and ran away from ur kingdom. To add salt to injury, na for Instagram dem divorce u.

“True true, all dat glitters is not gold. My people, how una see dis matter? How come wives just take off without notice, e good so?” he added.

Those in the know say that the Ooni’s separation from both Queen Naomi and Zaybab was not the only recorded divorce he has had as he was said to have divorced his first wife, Adebukola Bombata, shortly he ascended the throne of his forefathers after a marriage that lasted seven years.

The couple was said to have split after the Ooni’s coronation with Adebukola moving to the United Kingdom after their separation.
