NRTC Website Terms and Conditions of Use

If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. Which together with our privacy policy,  govern NRTC relationship with you in relation to the use of our website. If for any reason you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, you should stop using the website immediately.

We may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time and so the onus is on you to check these frequently. Your use of the NRTC website will be deemed an acceptance of the terms existing at the time of use.

1. Definitions

The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website and the term ‘newsroundtheclock’ or ‘NRTC’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of newsroundtheclock.com – Luxilla Media of Close 45, Road 4, Victoria Garden City, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. “User Information” means the personal details, which may be provided by You to Us via the NRTC Website. “Users” means the users of the NRTC website collectively and/or individually. “Website” means a site on the world wide web.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree that any use by You of the NRTC Website shall be in accordance with the following conditions:

2.1 You will not post, comment or transmit through the NRTC Website any defamatory, threatening, harmful, pornographic or otherwise illegal materials which would violate or infringe in any way upon our rights or right of others including intellectual property rights, rights to confidentiality, privacy or any form of inconvenience.

2.2 You must remember to always treat everyone with respect on this platform and not express opinions deemed to be vile, racist, tribalistic, unfounded allegations or otherwise offensive.

2.3 You must never upload, post, or otherwise transmit contents that includes:

a) Personal information belonging to you or another person;

b) Spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, polls or petitions;

c) Flooding boards with excessive or unrelated posts, posts to the topic;

d) Posting or transmitting any information, app or software containing a virus, worm, Trojan horse, or other damaging component;

e) Posting a link directing users to any dodgy content that, if posted on the Site would constitute a violation of our terms. NRTC is not responsible for the content of any third-party websites and users use of any hypertext links posted on the forum at their own risk;

f) Include URLs of third-party websites which may contain offensive or illegal material;

g) Postings that break the law, or encourage or support breaking the law. This includes libel, contempt of court and breach of copyright.

2.5 You agree not to use NRTC website (or any part of it) to:

a) Request for any personal information, email addresses, contact information, passwords or other personally identifying information;

b) Request participation in public discussion, debate, comment or activity outside this website;

c) Provide false or misleading information about yourself or your business;

2.6 You will not post, share or otherwise make available on the NRTC Website any material, which You do not own without the express permission of the owner of the material.

2.7 You will not copy, download, reproduce, republish, broadcast, transmit in any manner whatsoever, any material on the NRTC Website except as is strictly necessary for your own personal non-commercial home use.

2.8 You will abide by the specific rules of any competition or giveaway that You participate in on or via the NRTC Website. Unless we tell you otherwise, all prize draws, giveaways and competitions offered via the NRTC Website are not open to people resident outside Nigeria.

2.9 You will not do anything that affects the operability or security of the NRTC Website or causes unreasonable inconvenience or offence or disruption to our staff.

3.2 We do not endorse and shall not be held responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or services on or available from such Websites or material.

3.3 Any dealings between You and any third-party advertisers or merchants found on or via the NRTC Website, including payment for and delivery of products, services and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are made between You and the relevant advertiser or merchant. Meaning, We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as the result of any such dealings.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 All intellectual property rights in all material or content supplied as part of the NRTC Website shall remain at all times vested in Us or Our licensors. Content means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations, page layout, underlying code and software and any other form of information capable of being stored in a computer that appears on or forms part of NRTC Website. You must not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy, distribute or use for commercial purposes any Content from NRTC Website.

Except as required by law, We do not promise that the material contained in the NRTC Website, or any of the functions contained in the NRTC Website or its server will operate without interruption or delay or will be error free, free of viruses or bugs or is compatible with any other software or material.

NRTC Website is not liable for any loss or damages including, but not limited to, claims for defamation, errors, loss of data, or interruption in availability of data arising out of the use or inability to use our website or any links; to your placement of content on the NRTC Website.

You agree to indemnify and hold the Site and any Site-affiliated person or entity harmless from any claims, losses or damages, including legal fees, resulting from your violation of these terms and conditions by You or any other liabilities arising out of Your use of the NRTC Website.

We reserve the right immediately to terminate Your use of the NRTC Website if You breach or We have reasonable grounds to believe that You are likely to breach these terms and conditions or You otherwise engage in conduct which We determine in Our sole discretion to be unacceptable.

9. General

9.1 You may not transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions to any other person. We may transfer our rights under these terms and conditions where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.

9.2 The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to these terms and conditions and no third party will have any right to enforce or rely on any provision of these terms and conditions.

9.3 If any court or competent authority finds that any provision of these terms and conditions (or part of any provision) is invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision will, to the extent required, be deemed to be deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the other provisions of these terms and conditions will not be affected.

9.4 Unless otherwise agreed, no delay, act or omission by a party in exercising any right or remedy will be deemed a waiver of that, or any other, right or remedy.

9.5 These terms and conditions will be governed by and interpreted according to Nigerian law. All disputes arising under these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
