A tragic stampede at a concert by popular Nigerian singer Asake has resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman, identified as Karen Lojore, in Nairobi, Kenya.
The incident occurred on Saturday, December 20, at the Nyayo National Stadium, where the event was reportedly overcrowded, leading to chaos among concertgoers.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that paramedics at the venue immediately carried out emergency resuscitation on the victim before she was rushed to Nairobi West Hospital. She was later confirmed dead at the facility.
The concert organiser, Tukutane Entertainment, confirmed the incident in a statement shared on its official Instagram page, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.

“Our hearts are with the family, friends, and loved ones affected by this devastating loss. We’re cooperating fully with emergency services and the appropriate authorities as they work to understand what happened.”
This is not the first time a fatal stampede has been recorded at an Asake concert.
