2Face reveals his son Nino plans to pursue medicine, not music

Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face, has shared that his first son, Nino, has no intention of following his path into music.

Although Nino is a gifted saxophonist, the proud father revealed that his son’s real dream is to become a medical doctor.

2Face made the disclosure while introducing Nino on stage during an event in Abuja held to celebrate his 25 years in the music industry.

“Making some noise for my son Nino, mehn,” he told the audience as he brought him onstage.

“He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor,” he added, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Born on January 15, 2006, to 2Face and his former partner Sumbo Adeoye, Nino Idibia has built a profile for himself as a saxophonist, model and social media personality.

While many children of Nigerian artistes often venture into music, Nino appears to be charting a different path. Recently, for instance, Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, began his own musical journey with the release of his debut EP Champions’ Arrival under the stage name Champz.
