Samsungās latest foldable is the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. They contain various upgrades over prior models, notably improved chips and lenses. Due to the improved IP rating, they also feature several hardware changes that enhance usability and perform better in multiple environments.
But wait, the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 is not as leaping as I once believed, so I think I will keep my Galaxy Z Fold 4. The changes made to the new foldable are fine for me, and I like those small quality-of-life changes, but it looks like Samsung is not delivering its bestāthis flagship demanded significant improvements, and it got a minor one.
1. Their camera hardware is the same in two consecutive year models
It has a 50 MP, f/1.8 primary camera, a 12 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens, and a 10 MP, f/2.4 telephoto with up to 3X optical zoom. The identical configuration for mere figures is my Galaxy Z Fold 4. Though many want to say the ultrawide camera is new on the Fold 6, it has the exact resolution, aperture, and field of view.
That said, it is essential to note that the new Fold 6 features an enhanced ISP (Image Signal Processor), which is supposed to generate far more satisfactory numbers. Still, Samsungās most recent foldable performs dismallyāor so it seems on paper.
Yes, I am well aware that it is crowded inside the phone, and cramming a camera hump of the Galaxy S24 Ultra inside is even improbable at this stage. This time, I did not get a more significant jump, and as always, it would be premature to make assumptions and conclusions about the camera until more work is displayed.
2. The crease is less visible but still apparent
Itās not a flaw that I ever worried about, including when I was using the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which had a definite hump that could be touched and viewed clearly when the phone was opened. Compared to them, Fold 4 has this issue less severe, and Fold 5 has improved it even further. As much as one would like to assume that with the Fold 6, Samsung applied changes to the design, the flip crease is still there.

3. You still can’t store the S Pen in the phone
Nonetheless, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is depicted as a tool for professional and creative purposes and having fun; the S Pen is found in the companyās advertisements as one of the most significant features of the Galaxy Z Fold series. This spotlight makes the fact that you are still obliged to keep the stylus outside the phone a little unenthusiastic.
If you have seen the internal layout of a smartphone, namely Ultra or any of the Note-series gadgets, you will know how much space is provided to accommodate and charge a stylus. Why cannot this be done today?
If Samsung wanted to make a change, it could have made the phone more comprehensive and comparable to the conventional smartphone, which would be great for those with large screen covers and, lastly, the feature many others have wanted for years.
