Nigerians are fun lovers. They love to party and would spend a good amount of money if necessary to get enough fun.

A time of fun is a period to exhale and chill away from work and the issues of life. Many do not take this time for granted; they value it the same way they value their work. After all, ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’!

Parties are a way to have fun. Do you love to party? What aspects of a party excite you the most? What type of people do you like to meet at a party?

1. The Power Dresser

Those in this group create a special budget in a bid to dress-to-kill. They place emphasis on their appearance and overall look. When they arrive at the party, they ensure that they are seen. They take pictures and move through the gathering for maximum attention. The power dresser has no problem with upstaging their host.

2. The Food Lover

Anyone that falls in this category looks forward to when food will be served. Inasmuch as they desire to enjoy the party, their eyes still wander at the direction in which food is coming from.

They do not take it lightly and their reaction may not be palatable if they are skipped during the process of sharing food.

3. The Dancer

There are some who see dancing as the most important part of a party. They are quick to complain about the way the disc jockey is playing the songs. Often, they move in excitement whenever their favourite song is played. They may even appear like they are in a dance competition.

4. The Observer

The observer does not participate in any activity at the party. They simply watch and mentally document every aspect; just as if they are the approved media officer of the event.

This type of partygoer will have all the information about what went well and what didn’t. They will also be the one who has all the finer details about all the other types of partygoers.

5. The Relationship Seeker

Some persons go to parties in order to hook up. There is a belief that a life partner can come from anywhere, and where better to look?

For the ladies, they may be looking for their knight in shining armour. Or perhaps, the ‘tall, dark and handsome’. The guys are also on the lookout for the one that fits their spec.

They ensure that they take advantage of any opportunity that arises and create an avenue to meet privately with the one they fancy at the party.
