On Easter Sunday at The Waterbrook Church, Nigerian entertainers, Banky and Adesua Wellington shared their journey into having their first child, Zaiah. It was a chilling testimony that revealed the coupleās challenges with conceiving, trolls from the internet, how they healed through the hurt, and proof that God is ever faithful. Recently, Banky W released a song āFinal Say- which relates to this testimony.
In the words of the singer, āāThis is the story behind the song. Hope it inspires and encourages you. We pray that it builds up your hope, confidence, trusts and faith in God. Hope it reminds you that delay and disappointment is not denial; and that while your faith in God will not prevent you from hurting, it will help you heal, get back up and keep on going, trying and believing until your breakthrough comes.”

This article shall be espousing six takeaways from the testimony of the couple.
1. Have a personal relationship with your maker
A lot of persons speak about knowing God but they have not truly experienced Him. Adesua and her husband understood the need for a constant communication with the Almighty. According to Banky W, people need to be committed with matters that concern God regularly, not when they need Him only. Getting involved with acts of Godās service makes hearing from Him less stressful.
2. Knowing God does not take away hurt
There is this belief among people that being on the side of Jesus Christ will lessen their pains in life. However, this couple went through a lot of challenges trying to have a baby. At a point, internet trolls called the Nollywood actress barren and her husband impotent.
Adesua recalled when the doctor said that the twin babies she conceived through IVF had stopped breathing. At this point, she wailed and wondered why she was hurting so much despite being a child of God and her mom, a pastor. Banky W admitted that God helped them to heal through their hurt while He prepared their blessing for them.

3. Never judge others in their challenges
Trolls from the internet judged the couple regularly without knowing what they were going through privately. At a point, some persons questioned what she might have done with her womb. Adesua recounted how she was consistently told to āāgo and bornāā whenever she made an opinion on the internet. She was not given any free space to air her views without being insulted because she and her husband were yet to have a child.
4. Patience is a virtue
After going through two cases of IVF which were unsuccessful, the couple decided not to try any other means but wait on the Lord. Their pastor also gave them an assurance that God will visit them soonest. In the period where they decided to leave everything to God, Adesua conceived. It was a joyous moment for the couple who had waited for two and a half years to have their first child.

5. Faith works. Never give up on God
Despite the challenges the couple went through, they never stopped hoping that the good Lord would visit them. Constantly, they prayed and praised God for what He has done and what He would do. Adesua recalled joining Nathaniel Basseyās Hallelujah Challenge, where Christians praise God from 12am to 1am for a certain period on the gospel singer’s social media page. It also helped to boost their faith in God.
6. God keeps to His word; He is too faithful to fail
The bible makes us understand that better is the end of a thing than the beginning. Adesua and Banky W are testaments of Godās faithfulness. Although they had it rough at the beginning, God crowned all their efforts with a testimony ā Zaiah.
According to the father of the baby boy ā Banky W, his son is a beauty to behold. He is proud of Godās commitment to His word. Truly, God is too faithful to fail.
