Nigeria’s Super Falcons have officially touched down in Rabat to begin defending their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) crown.
Dressed in stunning green-and-white tie-dye African attire, the squad exuded massive confidence upon arrival.
Prior to arriving in Rabat, Justine Madugu’s side completed a productive ten-day training camp in Casablanca. Moreover, they capped off their preparations with an encouraging 2-1 friendly victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade and forward Esther Okoronkwo both found the net during Thursday’s tune-up match. Following the win, the team enters the tournament in high spirits and full of operational sharpness.

Furthermore, the ten-time champions will launch their Group C campaign on Tuesday against tournament debutants Malawi. Afterwards, they will face Zambia and Egypt as they chase an unprecedented eleventh WAFCON championship title.
