Super Falcons and Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala has been shortlisted for the 2022 Ballon d’Or Feminin.
The 27 years old Nigerian is one of 20 players on the 2021/22 shortlist, following immense seasons for both club and country. Making history in the process as the first African woman to be nominated.
Last month in Rabat, Oshoala was named the African Player of the Year for a record fifth time, adding to her previous wins in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019. This is her first Ballon d’Or nomination.

The Ballon d’Or 2022 ceremony will take place on October 17, 2022, at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris where the winners would be announced. The full shortlist is as follows:
