Morocco welcomes AFCON supporters with no visa fee

Morocco and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced that electronic visas for supporters travelling to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will now be free.

The e-visas, obtained through the official Yalla app, remove a major financial barrier for international fans. The move is expected to boost ticket demand ahead of the tournament. This event runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

Under the scheme, fans apply for both a required Fan ID and the e-visa in one streamlined process via the Yalla application. The Fan ID permits access to stadiums and designated fan zones.

Additionally, the Local Organising Committee has set up a 24/7 multilingual support line. It offers help in Arabic, French, and English to applicants.

Earlier this year, CAF and the organising committee launched a tiered ticket sales process. Strong demand followed, and the Yalla app became central, both to ticketing and credentialing.

The free e-visa represents a welcome lift. By removing the visa cost, CAF and Morocco seem determined to make this AFCON the most accessible yet. The competition is set across nine stadiums in six cities.

The expectation now is that fans from across the continent and beyond will flood in.
