Abubakar Yakubu, the newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, is in police custody after a road crash in Surulere, Lagos, that led to the death of one person.
Yakubu, who won the AGN election by a small margin over Rita Daniels, was said to be involved in the accident shortly after the poll.
The crash happened in the Surulere area, and early details from officials on the ground confirmed that one individual died as a result.
