Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has congratulated Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe on his appointment as the Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
He described it as a well-deserved recognition of his expertise and contributions to the health sector.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor lauded President Bola Tinubu for entrusting the position to Oloriegbe, a former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and a seasoned medical professional.

He emphasised that the appointment reflects the President’s commitment to rewarding competence and service, particularly among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
AbdulRazaq expressed confidence that Oloriegbe’s vast experience, professional background, and extensive network would help strengthen the NHIA and enhance access to quality healthcare across the country.
He urged all stakeholders in the health sector to support the new chairman in advancing the authority’s mission.
The governor also prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for Oloriegbe in his new role, expressing optimism that his tenure would bring significant improvements to Nigeria’s health insurance system.
