Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has visited the Kwara Stadium Complex to assess the progress of the ongoing renovation of the indoor sports hall.

Olayinka Fafoluyi, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, announced this in a statement on Monday, highlighting that the rehabilitation and upgrade of the indoor sports complex commenced a few months ago following the administration’s approval of the project.

Fafoluyi noted that the facility, which has not been upgraded since 1991, is currently undergoing extensive renovations contracted to Messrs Disscom Ltd.

He emphasised that once completed, the indoor sports hall will be among several previously dilapidated sports facilities that Governor Abdulrazaq’s administration has successfully revitalized over the past five years.

Additionally, Fafoluyi mentioned that the administration has finished constructing a modern table tennis hall and a squash court complex.

Significantly, the squash court complex is recognized throughout Nigeria and West Africa for featuring the largest number of modern squash courts in a single location.
