The Nigerian Film Corporation has dismissed rumours circulating on social media about the death of its Managing Director, Ali Nuhu.
The false report began after a Facebook post claimed that the popular actor and filmmaker had died, with another version alleging that he was involved in a car crash.
The post quickly spread across different platforms, raising concerns among fans and industry followers.
On Monday evening, the Corporation clarified that Ali Nuhu is alive and actively performing his duties as head of the agency.
He was appointed in February 2024 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and continues to serve in that role.

The management described the rumour as false and harmful, warning that steps are being taken to address those responsible for spreading the misinformation.
The Nigerian Film Corporation also thanked members of the public and stakeholders for their concern while assuring that Ali Nuhu remains in good health.
