Veteran Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has denied being responsible for the crash of her new husband, Kazim Adeoti’s marriage to his first wife, Funsho.

Mercy, whose marriage has been causing a lot of ripples in the entertainment industry, revealed this via a text message sent to a media outfit that insinuations that she was the cause of the marital crisis of the Adeotis were lies.

While reacting to the rumours that have been making the rounds that she broke another woman’s home, Mercy Aigbe said she had nothing to do with the marriage crashing..

She also denied another rumour that her new husband who is a movie marketer, was a close friend of her former husband, Lanre Gentry.

Those with that school of thought accused the actress of leaving her previous marriage for her husband’s friend following a photo shared on social media by Gentry showing himself and Mercy with Kazim and Funsho at a party which went viral on the Internet sparking criticisms.

“They were never family friends as speculated by Funsho and what has been peddled on social media,” Mercy said in the text message.

“The picture (in question) was taken in 2013 during Adekaz’s fortieth birthday, and I was still married to Gentry then.

“I attended the event with my then husband. My husband is a Muslim and he is allowed to have more than one wife. I did not break his marriage to Funsho.”
