Ministry

Adeboye joined RCCG in 1973, serving as an interpreter in the church. Two years later, the then General Overseer, late Pa. Josiah Akindayomi ordained him a pastor in the church. In 1981, he became the General Overseer. The church has grown in leaps and bounds since the emergence of Adeboye as its leader 41 years ago. The messages of the renowned cleric centers on holiness, faith, hope, love and prosperity.

Humanitarian works

Over the years, Adeboye has demonstrated commitment and support to the masses in various ways. In April, 2020, he donated 8,000 hand sanitizers, 8,000 surgical face masks and 200,000 hand gloves to the Lagos State government. This was to support in equipping medical staff with necessary protective gears to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
