Ghana is on the brink of being eliminated from the group stage of the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
This is following the 1-1 draw played against Gabon who had won their opening game against Comoros. Going into the clash against Ghana with three points while the Black Stars had earlier suffered a 1-0 loss against Morocco.

Morocco secured the last 16 ticket after a 2-0 win over Comoros and as things stand, Morocco top Group C with 6 points while Gabon is second with 4.
Ghana last group match against Comoros will now determine their fate. Anything less than a victory will see the Black stars eliminated in the group stages.
Jim Allevinah’s late equaliser rescues a point for Gabon, leaving Ghana on the brink of elimination after Andre Ayew scored a screamer from outside the box to give Ghana a first half lead against the run of play in a lacklustre first half.
The match disgracefully ended in a brawl that saw Ghana’s Benjamin Tetteh sent off. Gabon and Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also missed the game due to a minor heart condition.
