Egypt striker, Mohammed Salah through his solitary strike helped Egypt secure their first win in the ongoing 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.
The Liverpool striker’s goal put the Pharaohs in the second position behind Nigeria that have qualified for the last 16 after a 3-1 win against Sudan. They rode their luck as Mama Balde had a stunning late equaliser for the Djurtus ruled out after a video assistant referee review.

Guine-Bissau v Egyp: Match highlight
Salah volleyed in with 21 minutes left to secure a crucial victory in Garoua. He scored from a first-time left-footed effort from the edge of the six-yard box which flew past the outstretched hand of Guinea-Bissau keeper Jonas Mendes.

Guinea-Bissau thought they had secured a draw in the 82nd minute when Balde cut in from the left and curled a shot just inside the right-hand upright. Byut after a lengthy VAR check, the forward was adjudged to have fouled Egypt defender Omar Kamal in the build-up.
From the late flurry of attacks at the dearth, Mohamed El Shenawy punched away a half-volley from Moreto Cassama in injury time.
As things stand, both Sudan and Guinea-Bissau still have a chance of qualifying for next round. Both teams have a point each. A win could see them become the runners-up or one of the best losers.
