“As we induct you into the national service of our dear country today, you face a great challenge to prove that the future of our country and coming generations is secure in your hands. This is why you must rededicate yourselves to bringing about positive changes in your various assignments,” he said.
The governor emphasized that his administration will continue to support the NYSC to ensure that Corps members have a memorable year in Ondo State.
āThe area is clean, and we will disinfect the bathrooms and toilets, but they are old and need renovation, which we will undertake. Electricity is also a problem, and we will deploy solar lights across the entire camp so that it will be bright at night. We will also see what we can do for the hostels.”
In his welcome address, the NYSC State Coordinator, Samuel Pepple, thanked the governor for his presence at the event, noting that it was the first time in 13 years that a governor had visited the Orientation Camp.
He said a total of 1,423 Corps members have been registered in the camp for the mandatory one-year service for this batch.
