Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with traditional institutions to foster grassroots development.
The governor made this declaration during the 5th coronation anniversary of the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin, held at Mydas Resort in Owo.
Represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the Olowo for his unwavering dedication to the progress of the Owo Kingdom and its people.
“Kabiyesi, you have demonstrated exemplary leadership in fostering peace among our people in Owo and across the state over the past five years.
“On behalf of the good people and government of Ondo State, I felicitate with you on this significant occasion of the 5th anniversary of your ascension to the throne of your forefathers. May your reign continue to be peaceful and progressive,” he said.
In his address, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful development witnessed during his reign.

He reiterated his commitment to harnessing the economic potential of cultural tourism while engaging the kingdom’s youth through agriculture and sports.
The chairman of the occasion, retired Justice Adesuyi Olateru-Olagbegi, and Chief Jamiu Ekungba lauded the monarch’s reign, highlighting its significant contributions to the development of Owo Kingdom.
A major highlight of the event was a fundraising ceremony and the conferment of chieftaincy titles on notable individuals who have played pivotal roles in advancing the kingdom.
