AtlĆ©tico Madrid star Rasheedat Ajibade scored a first half brace as Nigeria’s Super Falcons earned a 2-0 win against Algeria in their friendly clash on Saturday.
The international friendly encounter was played inside Remo Stars stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.
Ajibade, the Super Falcons captain, drew the first blood in the 24th minute. The former junior international ran on to a long range pass from Galatasaray defender Oluwatosin Demehin before lobbing the over the onrushing Algerian goalkeeper.

Nigeria dominated proceedings and went two up just before the halftime break. The advantage was doubled during first half added time. Ajibade netted her second after her brilliant long range strike flew past the keeper into the top corner.
Saturday’s encounter serves as the first of two friendly matches between the Falcons and their Algerian opponents.
Both countries will file out another each other on Tuesday, 29 October at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
