The newly sworn-in Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has vowed not to disappoint Nigerians as well as All Progressive Congress, APC.
Speaking after his inauguration on Wednesday, Akume said he would fulfill his responsibility as well as discharge his duties.
He added that it is a challenge to serve in line with the oaths he took but assures Nigerians to do his best.

”It is an honour to be chosen to serve in this exalted position out of over 200 million Nigerians. It is a challenge to serve in line with the oaths I have taken today. I assure Nigerians I will do my best and I will not disappoint the President.
”I will not disappoint this country; I will not disappoint my party. I believe Nigerians will find fulfillment in my responsibility as I discharge my duties.”
Akume, the immediate past Minister of Special Duties, under former President Muhammadu Buhari, was sworn in today in the presence of government officials at the council chamber.

Present at the ceremony were the Governor of Benue State, Fr Hyacinth Alia, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the wife of the SGF, Hon. Regina Akume, some former governors, the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, family members, and well-wishers.
