AMVCA 2025: Full list of nominees unveiled

The organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards have announced the nominees for the 2025 edition of the prestigious awards.

The nominations span film, television, and digital content, recognizing works released between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

Among the frontrunners, Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way secured multiple nominations in various categories, including Best Movie and Best Director.

In the acting categories, Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising) are competing for Best Lead Actor. Meanwhile, Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Uche Montana (Thinline) are among the nominees for Best Lead Actress.

The awards also celebrate digital content creators, scripted and unscripted television series, and indigenous language films across different regions. The Best Director and Best Movie categories highlight some of the most acclaimed productions of the year.
