This year at the AMVCA2025 Cultural Night, the men did not come to play at all. They redefined cultural looks by bringing all the sophistication to the red carpet. Some of their outfits had more creative baggage than the women’s look. Most of their looks this year give an eminent cultural presence with an unapologetic taste. It is like, oops, I am sorry if my ensemble looks too much for you, but I have got to rep my culture properly.
In this article, I have reviewed men’s overwhelming cultural regalia at the AMVCA 2025 Cultural Night.
1. Akin Faminu

His look was curated by Ugo Monye, a tasteful Nigerian tailoring company known for creating powerful looks. He wore an ensemble of aso-oke pieces layered to create an overwhelming presence. His choice of fila is new to the game, and we want to see other looks accompanied by this kind of fila.
2. Saga Adeoluwa

I can’t seem to understand the swollen layering of these men’s cultural attire. However, it speaks of supremacy. His attire was also an ensemble of aso-oke, a velvet-like fabric with an abundance of fringe design. The look is tapping into the brown shade, and not to forget the staff, which constitutes authority.
3. Chimezie Imo at the AMVCA2025 Cultural Night

He tapped into the cultural look of the Eastern side. His look is a combination of three different fabrics. His outerwear was tailored perfectly to advertise the beauty of the inner wear.

Stan Nze is known for turning up the heat on the red carpet.AMVCA2025 was an exception. His Mazi look comprised an overall fur jacket on an ensemble of a two-piece inner wear. The imprinted design on his top was replicated on his staff. There was attention paid to the colour as it was replicated as the colour of the beads.
5. Elozonam

Not just the regular dansiki style, but this time, it has an aso-oke jacket. This aso-oke look is unique because of the mindful colour combination used in curating the look. Elozonam killed this redefined Yoruba cultural look for the AMVCA2025.
