Anambra Police increase patrols to counter planned cult clashes

The Anambra State Police Command has increased patrols and surveillance in Awka and other parts of the state following intelligence reports of planned clashes between rival cult groups.

The proactive measures are being implemented by the Special Anti-Cult Squad (SPACS) based in Enugwu-Ukwu.

In a statement, Police Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga noted that the command is also using a non-kinetic approach, working with the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Anti-Cultism and the State Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).
