Itās always better to wait a few days when a new software version is out, hoping others will experience issues on their devices. If you are a Pixel 6 user, you will do well to avoid Android 15 for the time being.
Several Redditors have said that after updating their phone to Android 15, Pixel 6 dies on them. In at least two of them, the problem arose after the new āPrivate Spaceā option was turned on, which allowed users to have another protected account on the device. Users who have experienced dropped calls report that their phones are ātotally unresponsive,ā with no indications of life after pressing motherboards or trying to connect it to a computer.
After using the framework, initial reports were followed indicating that the problem can be random and does not necessarily involve user profiles, but the devices are breaking even without using Private Space.

This is not the first time that the Pixel 6 series has encountered issues after some Android update. The Android 14 released last year brought problems in accessing storage for some users, while earlier this year, factory resets caused unresponsive devices. However, the current problem encountered on Android 15 seems to be worse than that of the previous versions. People are not sure whether the issue applies to all, but since plenty of people have reported the problem up to this point, if you have a Pixel 6, the more prudent decision is undoubtedly to avoid the Android 15 update until Google responds to the complaint and offers a fix.
This seems to be primarily a problem on Pixel 6 devices, though, and other Pixel models, including the Pixel 8 Pro, have had some issues with the new update as well, including the back gesture navigation. Perhaps, all of these problems will be ironed out in due course by subsequent bug-fixing releases.
