The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a blistering attack on the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the opposition as a “confused and desperate” party obsessed with blaming others for its own internal collapse.
In a statement on Thursday, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, dismissed the ADC’s recent claims of sabotage, insisting the party has brought its woes upon itself.
Morka did not mince words, calling the ADC “a party that never truly was” and a “kamikaze experiment” unraveling in full view of the public.
He argued that the opposition’s ongoing leadership crisis stems from blatant violations of its constitution and a reckless disregard for the rule of law.
The APC singled out the faction led by former Senate President David Mark and former Minister Rauf Aregbesola, claiming the duo “parachuted in like planless commandos,” seized control of party structures, and created the legal and administrative gridlock now engulfing the ADC.

The row comes in the wake of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) de-recognising the David Mark-led executive.
While the ADC has reportedly accused the APC of interference, the ruling party insists the move was strictly a legal requirement.
“The decision to de-recognise the David Mark-led faction, in line with a court judgment, is legally sound,” Morka said.

“It is the inevitable result of the party’s reckless and misguided manoeuvres.
”The APC described the ADC’s accusations as “escapist and irresponsible,” asserting that a party unable to govern itself is “grossly unfit” to govern a nation.
Morka also claimed the ADC lacks any substantive policy agenda beyond attacking the APC, describing the opposition as “bereft of ideas” and driven by a “vain desperation for power.”
He reaffirmed that the administration of President Bola Tinubu remains committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on strengthening democratic institutions and promoting national prosperity rather than engaging in political squabbles.
