Apple surpasses Samsung as highest the top seller of smartphones

Apple has achieved a remarkable feat in the smartphone market. According to the latest report from IDC, the Cupertino-based company surpassed Samsung as the top seller of smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Apple shipped 90.1 million units, a 23.4% increase from the same period last year, while Samsung shipped 73.9 million units, a 11.8% decrease. This is the first time since 2016 that Apple has taken the lead in the global smartphone market share.
