Apply for NITDA/Coursera Scholarship on Digital Skills Cohort 2


In line with the Federal Government’s commitment to create one million jobs within the digital economy, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in partnership with Coursera, has presented a capacity-building initiative to equip Nigerians with digital skills.

The call for application starts on Wednesday, 31st May 2023 and is expected to close on Wednesday 14th June 2023.

The Cohort 2 training starts on Monday, 19th June 2023 for a period of 6 months. Don’t miss this opportunity to skills that can give you access to global jobs.

Applicants are to select one certification program each from Category A and Category B that they wish to be enrolled in by clicking here to apply for this scholarship.

Category A (IT Career Pathway) offers a total of 19 professional certification programs to help you kickstart a successful IT career. Each program comprises a series of related courses focused on providing deep knowledge and hands-on skills required for employment.

When you complete each individual course within the program, you’ll earn a certificate of completion. However, the professional certification will be earned when you have completed all the required courses in the program.

Category B (Complementary Skills Pathway) offers 4 certification programs for you to choose from to complement your IT career skills and sharpen your use of digital productivity tools, entrepreneurship, or freelancing skills.

Successful applicants will receive a Coursera license in their provided email in the form of a joining link. They will then be able to join the program and enroll on a course by clicking on that link.

Each scholar will have access to the Coursera license for a period of six (6) months. Scholars are expected to use this time to complete as many professional certifications as possible, but they can only be enrolled in one certification at a time.
