These new additions will join an already diverse and talented group of forwards, promising depth and variety for the Seagulls in the upcoming season.
As Brighton continues to grow in stature within the Premier League, these new players bring fresh hope for greater success on the pitch.

A look at Brighton’s attacking depth
One of the club’s most experienced strikers, Danny Welbeck, remains a key figure in Brighton’s offensive lineup. The former Arsenal and Manchester United forward found the net seven times in 37 appearances across all competitions last season.
Welbeck’s experience and ability to score crucial goals were on display once again as he added to his tally in Brighton’s impressive 3-0 victory over Everton last Saturday. His leadership on the field is expected to be vital as Brighton navigates the challenges of the Premier League season.
In addition to Welbeck, Japanese winger Kaoru Mitoma has quickly become an integral part of Brighton’s attacking unit. Last season, Mitoma scored three goals, contributing significantly to the team’s overall performance.
This season, he has already opened his account, scoring against Everton in the season opener. Mitoma’s speed and creativity on the wings provide Brighton with a dynamic option capable of breaking down even the most resolute defenses.
Ivory Coast international Adingra a generational talent
The Seagulls also boast young talent Simon Adingra, who came off the bench to score Brighton’s third goal against Everton. At just 22 years old, Adingra’s potential is immense, and his ability to impact games as a substitute adds a new dimension to Brighton’s attack.
31-year-old manager Fabian Hürzeler will likely utilise Adingra’s youthful energy and enthusiasm as the season progresses, particularly in tight matches where a moment of brilliance can make all the difference.
Joao Pedro is another name that Brighton fans will be excited to see back in action. Last season, the Brazilian forward was instrumental in the team’s success, scoring 20 goals across all competitions. His ability to find the back of the net consistently makes him one of Brighton’s most reliable attacking threats.
Ecuadorian international Jeremy Sarmiento also offers another attacking option for the Seagulls. Sarmiento’s versatility allows him to play across various positions in the forward line, giving Hürzeler tactical flexibility.
His international experience with Ecuador adds to his value, making him a player to watch as the season unfolds.
Young talents Ferguson and Enciso bolster Brighton’s attack
Then there is Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson who is gradually recovering from an ankle injury. Ferguson’s return will further strengthen Brighton’s attacking options.
Young Paraguayan talent Julio Enciso is expected to make a comeback against Manchester United. The forward sustained a minor injury while representing his country at the Olympic football tournament in France.
Enciso’s return will be a welcome boost for Brighton, as his creativity and flair bring an unpredictable element to the team’s forward play. His presence on the field will undoubtedly increase the competition for places, pushing his teammates to perform at their best.
March still out due to long-term injury
However, the Seagulls will have to wait a bit longer for the return of Solly March. The 30-year-old is currently sidelined with a knee injury sustained in October.
March’s absence marks a significant blow to Brighton, as his experience and versatility have been invaluable to the team. His eventual return will provide Brighton with more alternatives, allowing Hürzeler to rotate his squad effectively during a busy season.
With such a wealth of attacking talent at his disposal, new manager Hürzeler faces several selection dilemmas. Deciding who starts, who sits, and who comes off the bench will be crucial in ensuring Brighton remains competitive throughout the season.
These are good problems to have, though, as the depth of talent available to the manager could be the key to Brighton’s success this year.
After their convincing 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park in their season opener, Brighton is set for a much sterner test. They face United in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Hürzeler will be counting on his wide array of attackers to deliver the goods at the AMEX stadium. The match will be a true test of Brighton’s attacking capabilities and a chance for the new signings to show what they can do on the big stage.
