Shooting Stars head coach Nurudeen Aweroro has praised his players’ resilience after a dramatic 4-2 victory over Warri Wolves. The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash delivered intensity and attacking quality.
Warri Wolves struck early through Peter Ita in the sixth minute. However, the Oluyole Warriors responded with first-half goals from Sodiq Ibrahim, Lucky Emmanuel, and Desmond Ojietefian.
Stephen Amos added a fourth in the 70th minute to seal control. Although Othuke Egbo pulled one back late, the hosts remained dominant.
Shooting Stars climb to seventh after ending winless run
“It wasn’t easy for us to go without a win in our previous two fixtures. That’s why we resolved to do our best to end the barren run,” Aweroro told 3SCfanstv.
“We really worked tirelessly in readiness for the game, the players played to instruction even though we conceded twice in the game.”

The victory lifts Shooting Stars to seventh with 38 points. Next, they travel to face Plateau United in their upcoming league fixture.
