Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been crowned Nottingham Forest’s PFA Community Champion for the 2024/25 season.
With unwavering commitment and a heart for humanity, the Nigerian striker has seamlessly blended his football stardom with a deep-rooted passion for social impact throughout the Premier League season.
From the opening whistle of the campaign, Awoniyi made it clear that community engagement wasn’t just a box to tick — it was part of his DNA.

However, what truly set Awoniyi apart this season was an extraordinary act of generosity and solidarity. During Ramadan, he personally funded and attended a community Iftar organised by the Nottingham Forest Community Trust in collaboration with local charity Himmah.
