Muhammed Babangida has confirmed that he has accepted his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture.
This clarification comes amidst reports that he had rejected the role.
The confirmation came on Monday through an official statement clearing the air about the circulating claims that he rejected the position.
Babangida stated that he is grateful to President Bola Tinubu for choosing him for the role and dismissed the rumours as misleading.
He also maintained that those behind the fake news were trying to create confusion and discredit the efforts of the current government.
He urged the public not to fall for unverified information and pledged his commitment to serving in his new position with dedication.
The appointment is one of several leadership changes approved by President Tinubu to improve operations in key public institutions.
