BBNaija Reunion: Doyin reacts after she was accused of insulting Adekunle’s mum

Nigerian reality star, Doyin David has released a statement on her Twitter account to denounce claims that she demeaned the mother her fellow Big Brother Naija Level Up contestant, Adekunle during the Reunion show on Monday, June 26.

It would be recalled that News Round The Clock reported that Adekunle, a Big Brother Naija alumni was the theme of Monday night’s BBNaija Reunion program.

During the episode, Doyin stated that Adekunle ā€œowes his mum an apology because he threw her home training to the gutters.ā€

Her statement earned backlash on social media, with many berating her for involving Adekunleā€™s mother in their beef.

However, reacting via her Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, Doyin clarified that her comment on the show was not an insult to Adekunleā€™s mother as many insinuated.

She said her comment means that Adekunleā€™s mum trained him well, but he neglected the training; hence, he owes her an apology.

The reality star urged those who misunderstood her to return to English language classes.

Doyin wrote, ā€œI never insulted his mum. My words were ā€œhe owes his mum an apology for throwing her home training in the gutterā€. In other words, she trained him but he neglected the training, so he owes her an apology.

ā€œIf English is your problem, this is a good chance to go back to school.ā€
