Reality TV star, Nengi Hampson has reacted to the backlash she received following her first public appearance since giving birth.
The BBNaija 2020 finalist, who welcomed her baby girl in April 2025, attended a high-profile event in Lagos, where she was seen alongside several celebrities, including Pretty Mike, Peter Okoye, and Beauty Tukura.
Her outfit, however, drew criticism from social media users, many of whom felt that she exposed too much of her body, given her recent childbirth.
This sparked an online debate, with some users questioning her choice of attire.
In response, Nengi took to Instagram to address the criticism, explaining that it had been just two months since her emergency C-section and she had not yet been cleared for exercise.

Nengi declared that she was taking small steps to feel confident again and to reconnect with her pre-pregnancy self.
She humorously added that for her next outing, she might wear a wrapper and head tie to please her critics.
Nengi wrote; “2 months post emergency C-section. Not cleared for the gym yet. Still healing, still learning to love this new body even though sometimes all I have is a tiny thread of confidence. And I’ll take every little moment that helps me feel like me again. Okay okay next time I’ll tie wrapper and head tie.. y’all happy now? Lol.”
