Former Big Brother Naija star, Queen Mercy Atang, has officially announced the collapse of her one-year marriage to David Oyekanmi.
The reality star, who shares a child with skit maker Lord Lamba, tied the knot with Oyekanmi in March 2024 following public tensions between her and her baby daddy.
Rumours of trouble in the marriage began circulating a few months later when Queen Mercy unfollowed her husband on Instagram and deleted their wedding photos. At the time, she dismissed the speculation, saying, “I was trying to take my marriage off social media and reduce some of the things I put out there.”

However, on Wednesday, she confirmed that the marriage had indeed ended. Her disclosure came in response to a comment from a fan after she posted a new photo taken at actress Mercy Aigbe’s mother’s burial.
The fan, @makachrist, asked, “Queen, hope you are still married because asa, you are too beautiful to be single.”
Queen Mercy replied simply, “Single and unavailable.”
Her comment officially puts to rest months of speculation surrounding her marital status.
