Behind The Scenes has crossed the ₦2 billion mark at the box office, becoming the first Nollywood film to achieve the milestone.
The film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, announced the feat in an Instagram post and confirmed that the movie has grossed ₦2,103,039,706 in ticket sales.
FilmOne said, “Behind The Scenes has officially broken and shattered records”, adding that the film now stands as the highest-grossing Nollywood title of all time in Africa, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The achievement also strengthens filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele’s position in the industry, as she becomes the first filmmaker to rank number one at the African box office for three consecutive years. FilmOne further recognised Akindele as West Africa’s highest-grossing filmmaker, writer, director, and producer of all time.

In an emotional message, FilmOne thanked audiences for supporting the film and believing in the magic of storytelling.
Akindele also reacted to the milestone on her X account, where she shared an appreciation message and gave glory to God.
She wrote, “Records are milestones, not the mission. “I’m most grateful to my maker and return all the glory to him,” she added.
