Nollywood actress and podcast host Biola Adebayo is facing heavy criticism online after featuring convicted actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka on her show, Talk To B.
The interview, which has spread widely across social media, has angered many Nigerians who believe the platform gave the actor a chance to defend his past conviction involving a minor.
During the session, Baba Ijesha claimed the incident that led to his imprisonment was planned against him and said he was wrongly judged.
He also linked parts of the situation to what he described as preparation for a movie, a claim that has drawn strong reactions from the public.
In the same interview, the actor spoke about his past relationship with Iyabo Ojo, stating that she once trusted him with the care of her children when they were younger.
This statement quickly led to a response from Iyabo Ojo, who rejected the claim and warned him to stop mentioning her children. She also threatened legal action if he continues to involve them in his story.

The interview has led to a wave of criticism on platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram, where many users condemned both the actor and the host.
Several people questioned why someone convicted of such an offence was given a public space to speak, while others accused the show of trying to change public perception about the case.
On Facebook, many users expressed concern about the impact of such interviews, saying some matters should be handled carefully and not turned into online content.
Some also argued that allowing such discussions could weaken accountability and shift focus away from the seriousness of the crime.
Instagram users also shared similar views, with some saying the interview was unnecessary and could encourage harmful narratives.
Others said giving the actor attention again might make him feel supported despite his past conviction.
Despite the strong backlash, a few people shared a different opinion.
They argued that the interview allowed the actor to share his side of the story after serving his sentence.
Some said it was important to hear both sides, especially since many people did not follow the full court proceedings during the case.
The case dates back to 2021 and led to a major public outcry across Nigeria.

In July 2022, a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja found Baba Ijesha guilty of offences related to sexual assault and improper treatment of a child.
He was sentenced to prison terms that were served at the same time.
After his release, there were mixed reactions, prompting the Lagos State Ministry of Justice to explain that his conviction still stands.
The Attorney-General, Lawal Pedro, stated that although some earlier claims were removed by the Court of Appeal, the main judgment and sentence were upheld.
